I made numerous upgrades to my 17' Cast & Blast, and it was easily my favorite flats boat that I've owned over the years. It drafts around 7 inches of water with minimal load, yet the V-shaped entry allows it to handle bay chop exceptionally well. The ride is smooth and controlled, without the pounding or slamming common in many flats boats. It is also an extremely nimble skiff, moves through the water efficiently, and turns on a dime.
