This boat has been in the planning stage for quite a while and we decided the time was right for an entirely new category. There have been many boats in the 19-21’ range that looked like a flats boat but the weight, draft and other issues kept them from being able to perform as a real skiff. Our designs, materials and technology were able to change that in the new Islamorada 21. This is a real, shallow water poling skiff that will do the same missions as our 12 degree Islamorada 18. It is a scaled up version of the 18 that has the same stealth capability, the same draft (or it is slightly shallower with a 115 engine) but the additional length, width and height will allow more passengers, an even better dry ride in very rough conditions and as much speed as needed. The skiff has a huge livewell in the aft compartment that is also great dry storage if the livewell is not needed.
